Previous campaigns

EWEA has organised many successful campaigns, such as:

Freedom for Electricity

Twenty five years after the Single European Act, Europe urgently needs greater freedom of movement in electricity: a single internal power market and a network infrastructure to facilitate it. A single electricity market would increase competition, improve security of supply, help deliver climate goals and integrate modern energy technologies including renewables.

Give Europe a breath of fresh air

Over the next 12 years, Europe must build new power capacity equal to half the current total. We must use this opportunity to construct a modern power system that meets the challenges of the 21st century.
Wind energy gives Europe a breath of fresh air.

Oceans of Opportunity

Offshore wind energy has the potential to power Europe seven times over, and offshore wind projects already in various stages of planning would supply 10% of Europe's electricity demand.

Count on Wind Energy

In 2008, more wind power capacity was installed in the EU than any other electricity generating technology and Renewable Energy Directive was agreed.
Europe can count on wind for technology leadership, climate protection, energy independence, commercial opportunities, exports and jobs.

Generation Wind

Generation Wind is a campaign that highlights the barriers currently hindering the development of wind energy and the benefits it can generate for Europe.

Offshore

This video presents the huge, untapped energy source that is offshore wind. It focuses on what offshore wind offers, including CO? reductions, jobs and regional development, and reduced fossil fuel imports.

Seize the Opportunity

The 'Seize the Opportunity' video focuses on the energy and climate challenge the EU is facing. It shows that the crisis can be turned into an opportunity for Europe through the development of wind energy, so it can strengthen its technological leadership and benefit from stable energy costs.

No Fuel

'No Fuel' examines the rising and unstable oil and gas prices of recent years. It shows that wind energy is a clean, free and abundant source of power.
